During the January school holidays, we have worked with key partners Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on programming children events and workshops. For an outstanding six consecutive years, we have delivered a two-week learn-to-skate program with art classes and activities for their younger audiences. We transformed their car park space into a mobile skateboard park, museum, artist mural space, workshop space and even a roller skating rink.

We also invited artists to collaborate and design a mobile skate museum that presents a historical timeline wall, paying tribute to the progressive roots of skateboarding. Work included nostalgic print media imagery, board shapes, design, and key terrain that shaped the industry into what it is to date. This space was designed to inspire participants to create and design their own skateboard graphic or tote bag to take home under the watchful eye of internationally renowned Art mentor, “We Buy Your Kids” Sonny Day and local artist Courtenay McCue of “CRT Designs”.

We love to top off the program with an all ages open skate jam night that supports local music, skate movies and drinks for all. Pacific Fair often see over #2500 participants visit the center with a 75% repeat visitation rate to the center during the summer school holiday period.
